About Kelly, RootForce & Regenerative Roots
My Story
For as long as I can remember, I never quite fit in my body.
My head never felt like it sat right. When I walked or swam, I would veer to the left without meaning to. My grandmother once mentioned that I walked funny as a kid, but better shoes seemed to help, and no one thought much of it after that. That was normal then. Nobody was screening children for how they moved.
What I remember most is being careful.
Any jolting movement would slam through my body, so I held back. While other kids played carefree, I stayed cautious, and somewhere along the way I lost some of that playfulness to a fear I couldn't explain. I didn't have words for it yet, but I already knew my body worked differently, and I wanted to understand why.
At fourteen, just after my braces came off, the pain arrived.
A pounding headache stayed with me for the next fifteen years. Pain twisted through my neck and bounced between my knees, hips, and shoulders as though it were searching for a place to settle. At one point, the pressure behind my right eye became so intense I was convinced something was seriously wrong, maybe even a tumor.
No one could explain it.
Doctors brushed me off. Physical therapy didn't help.
So I decided to figure it out myself.
I studied Pilates. I trained in Postural Restoration. I explored Applied Integration. Each one gave me another piece of the puzzle and changed the way I understood the body. But despite everything I was learning, my own body still hadn't changed.
Then I went deeper into regenerative health and spent two years rebuilding my health from the inside out. I learned how profoundly lymphatic health influences energy, recovery, and the way we feel. My energy returned. The brain fog that had slowly crept into my life began to lift.
But the pain and the pressure remained.
My physiology had improved. My structure had not.
The missing piece came when I found Functional Patterns.
For the first time, I wasn't just reducing symptoms. I was creating space.
Where my body had spent years feeling compressed, there was finally room for blood and lymph to move more freely. The movement principles and neurological cues I had collected over years of study finally had somewhere to land. My breathing expanded in every direction. My body stopped feeling like it was fighting itself.
For the first time, I realized my pain wasn't a collection of unrelated problems.
It was one pattern.
That realization changed everything.
Today, that's the foundation of how I work with my clients.
I believe pain, pressure, stiffness, restricted breathing, and even feelings of stagnation are often different expressions of the same underlying pattern. Rather than chasing each symptom, I help people understand the pattern their body has adapted to so they can create meaningful, lasting change.
Compression was my story.
Creating space was the answer.
Now I help people who feel stuck in their bodies discover what their own body has been trying to tell them.
If your body feels the way mine did
Maybe you’ve spent years feeling like something isn’t quite right, even if no one has been able to explain it.
Maybe tension keeps coming back no matter what you do. Maybe your joints feel compressed, your body feels heavy or restricted, or you’re constantly trying to manage pain that seems to move from one place to another. Maybe you’ve been handed exercises that focused on where it hurt, but never explained why it kept happening.
Here’s what I want you to know.
Your body isn’t broken, and you’re not imagining what you’re feeling.
Bodies adapt. Every compensation has a reason, even if that reason isn’t obvious at first. Pain, pressure, stiffness, restricted breathing, and even feelings of stagnation are often connected rather than separate problems. When you begin to understand the pattern your body has been adapting to, things that never made sense finally start to make sense.
You don’t have to spend fifteen years searching for answers the way I did.
That’s why I do this work.
RootForce is the coaching side of my work
RootForce is where I help people apply the same principles that changed my own body.
Through movement assessments, 1:1 coaching, and guided training, both in person and online, I help clients understand their compensation patterns and retrain how they breathe, stand, walk, and move.
The goal is a body that feels more supported from the inside out: less compression, better flow, easier breath, and strength you can actually trust.
Regenerative Roots is the education side of my work
Regenerative Roots is where I share the lessons I had to learn the hard way.
Through articles, resources, and courses, I explore fascia, lymphatic health, breathing mechanics, posture, movement, and regenerative living in a way that makes complex topics feel practical and usable in everyday life.
If you’re not ready for coaching, or you’re the kind of person who needs to understand before you act, this is where to start.
Training and Credentials
I’ve been a movement professional since 2013, with over a decade of experience teaching Pilates and working with clients one-on-one.
My training has also included study in Postural Restoration, a Regenerative Health Certification in 2021, and HBS1 certification with Functional Patterns in 2025.
Together, these studies have shaped the way I look at posture, gait, breathing, lymphatic health, recovery, and long-term structural change.
Start Where I Wish I Had
If any part of my story felt familiar, this is where I'd encourage you to begin.
My free Fascial Restrictions Self Check is a 10-minute guided walk through that helps you notice where your body is holding tension, creating compensation, or losing movement options—and what those patterns might be telling you.
It's not about diagnosing problems or chasing symptoms. It's about learning to observe your body differently so you can begin understanding the patterns behind what you're feeling.
Because understanding is always the first step toward meaningful change.

You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone
If you'd rather not piece it together alone, that's what coaching is for. Every client relationship starts with a movement assessment, in person or online, where I show you what your body is actually doing and why it feels the way it does.
I can't promise that your journey will look like mine. Every body has its own story.
But I do believe your body has been trying to communicate with you all along.
Together, we can learn how to listen.
Thank you for being here.
Rooted, aligned, and moving forward,
Kelly
