Work with me, in person or online
If you're ready to stop managing symptoms and start retraining the pattern underneath them, this is how we do it. Every client relationship starts with a movement assessment, where I show you what your body is actually doing and why it feels the way it does. From there, you choose the level of support that fits: monthly 1:1 coaching with guided homework, daily classes, or in-person training at my gym in Minnesota.
The method: Functional Patterns
Functional Patterns is a biomechanics-based training system created by Naudi Aguilar that helps the body work more as a whole.
Instead of chasing isolated muscles, it focuses on gait, breathing, fascia, and movement patterns that improve posture, performance, and long-term function.
I use this approach to help clients get out of pain, move more efficiently, and build trust in their bodies again. Review my Credentials here.
It's the system that resolved my own decade of chronic pain. Read my full story.
“I have been going to Rootforce for just over a year and I cannot recommend Kelly enough. I have chronic hip pain and range of motion issues and Kelly has really helped me and continues to do so. She is a keen observer of how your body moves and can show you how you are moving and what needs to be done to correct it. I understand my body much better since working with her.
During this same time frame, I have had a couple of Physical Therapists and quit both of them because they did not give me the amount of insight into the causes of my issues as Kelly does- they were only focused on strengthening my hips. ”

How working together works
Step 1: The Fit Form. Start by filling out a short form that tells me about your body, your history, and what you're looking for. It helps us both make sure this is the right fit before you invest anything.
Step 2: Your movement assessment. We meet in person or online and look at how you breathe, stand, and walk. I show you what your body is actually doing, why it likely feels the way it does, and what we'd work on together. You leave understanding your body better than when you arrived, whether or not you continue. The assessment is $150, and it's the only thing you pay for before deciding on membership.
Step 3: Membership. If it's the right fit, you move into ongoing support. Every membership includes monthly private sessions, plus guided homework or daily classes depending on your tier, so the retraining continues between sessions instead of only happening when we meet.

Functional Patterns is a system of movement that focuses on correcting dysfunctional movement patterns, improving mobility, and optimizing performance. It is based on the principles of biomechanics, neuroscience, and evolutionary biology.
-
Functional Patterns works surprisingly well for:
People with chronic posture or alignment issues (rounded shoulders, forward head, pelvic tilt)
Those who want to improve gait, balance, or foot/ankle function
Busy people who need effective, time-efficient training for life demands (standing, walking, lifting)
-
You can absolutely start with just your body and a few simple tools (fascia release tools, bands and free weights). Over time, adding tools like a cable machine, medicine balls or maces can facilitate deeper structural work — but no massive gym is required. The goal is intelligent movement and that can be facilitated through light equipment and focused work.

Most people see the best results with a daily practice, even if it is short. Consistency is what creates change because your body learns through repeated inputs over time. When you work with me, you are not guessing what to do. The memberships guide you through a daily practice in the app, with private sessions to keep your movements precise and your progressions specific to your body.

Yes — and often especially beneficial. Because the movements are controlled, aligned, and focused on real-life biomechanics rather than maximal load, Functional Patterns can help stabilize joints, support fascia, and gradually build strength and mobility without placing undue stress. As always, listen to your body, and we can adapt exercises as needed.
